Most people actively try to minimize the amount of toxins that enter their body. They eat good food, drink purified water and breathe purified air. Some even take added measures to detoxify their body. However, what many people don”t realize is that toxins are also being absorbed by the largest part of the human body - the skin! This makes it absolutely essential to pick the right kind of soap for daily cleansing and nourishment.
The industrious process used to produce many of the commonly known soaps contain artificial chemicals, dyes, and fragrances... questionable substances that many of us would be better off avoiding. One way to minimize the casual toxins that you and your family are exposed to, is through the use of handmade and natural soap.
Here we meet Neemli Naturals, which, as the name suggests, uses high-grade, natural ingredients in their soap-making process.
Neemli Naturals in a nutshell
Neemli Naturals was born out of a need for purely herbal products that not only aid in cleanliness, but also go a long way in rejuvenating the body, mind, and soul. All their products are handcrafted using a holistic approach, combining age old, traditional methods with modern technique and ingenuity. None of the products have any artificial fragrance and are made using 100% natural essential oils. Most products are vegan-friendly, without use of animal extracts and without animal testing.
The story behind "Handmade"
Soap described as "handmade" is usually 'cold process soap'. However, there can be a world of difference from one manufacturer's bar to the next. At Neemli Naturals, they make soaps with base oils that are literally good enough to eat. Food-grade oils that cost perhaps twice the price of less-refined grades are used. Neemli Naturals suggests you always ask a supplier specifically if a soap is handmade from scratch if you're not sure. Also check the label. Look for preservatives such as SLS (sodium laurel sulphate) or artificial fragrances. Be wary of bright colours and fabulous fruit smells too.
The easy way to make soap is to buy a ready-made, mass-produced soap base, melt it, throw in a handful of dried petals and some fragrances, and then come up with an honest-sounding earthy description. That is not the Neemli Naturals way. Neemli Naturals uses natural ingredients, the finest oils, butters, waxes, and botanicals. All their products are produced by hand in small batches. The soaps are cured for at least 6 weeks before selling them; so that they are hard and mild enough to use.
